BOOK DESIGNS
Designing a book for a non-profit requires a thoughtful and strategic approach. I spent many days sifting through piles of card stock and swatches, weeks illustrating infographics and photographing archived documents, and months of endless page layouts. It was essential to align the visual aspect of book with the organization’s mission, impact and values, while engaging and inspiring the target audience.
NCARB CENTENNIAL BOOK
This 244 page book follows the history of architectural licensure in the United States, starting with the organization’s inception in 1919 and leading up to its centennial in 2019. The book took over two years to design, and was distributed to 300 board members and volunteers at the 2019 Centennial Annual Business Meeting (Washington, DC). As a more accessible version of the book, please see the project on the NCARB Centennial website.
NCARB BY THE NUMBERS - View the 2019 Issue
I designed several issues of NCARB by the Numbers, the organization’s annual publication focused on the data of licensed architects, gender and racial diversity, and attrition along the path to licensure. Also see issues from 2017, 2018 and 2020.
NCARB BY THE NUMBERS - PROMOTIONAL VIDEO (2019 ISSUE)
I adapted the publication graphics for the video editor to make into a short animated promotional video for social media.
